The 36th Annual Serie Madden's Invitational Golf Tourney!

Breaking news, 25 October 2020: Everyone's favorite Big Gun, Keith "The Howitzer" Howe has carded his fifth lifetime ace on the fearsome 155 yard second hole at the Old Palm Golf Club in scenic Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The details: Into a stiff wind, using a choked down, knocked down 7 iron. Foursome members : Mick Mauer, Mike Lorenz, Glen Reece and caddy Steve Bateman. Congratulations Keith!

The 36th is in the books. Results? We've got 'em!

In the hard fought Championship Match, everyone's favorite Doctor of Golf Jim Schoppenhorst found himself dormy with two to play versus The Mixmaster Greg Johnson.

Jim won the 17th to take the match 3 and 1, congratulations Dr. Schoppenhorst!

Hey guys, guess what well known Professor of Golf is passing a decades-long milestone of keeping the books cooked at The Pump?

Our Chairman inducted into the USSSA Softball Hall of Fame!

Click the image to see photographs taken at the induction ceremony. Congratulations Mr. Chairman!

From the Company newsletter:

Long-time BAE Systems employee Dave Serie was recently selected for induction into the United States Slowpitch Softball Association (USSSA) Hall of Fame. Dave played softball for 22 years, 15 of those with the FMC Industrial Team.

During that time, the team, which was a perennial state powerhouse, was coached by Darrell "Bozo" Wincek and was ranked first in the State in the Industrial AA Division for seven years. The team also won seven State Championships and played in nine National Tournaments, finishing as high as second in 1985. Dave was named to the All State Team three times and amassed nearly 500 home runs with a lifetime batting average of over 600!

An interesting side-note, as we head into the 36th Annual SMIGT in August 2020, Jimmy "The Lip" Lipa is still working full-time at The Pump and playing every week in the Twilight League at Gross National, talk about longevity there has been at least one member of the Lipa family working at The Pump every year since the nineteen thirties!
